Fort
<< Back to main page

Players are divided up into two balanced teams. Each team must place their worms on one side of the terrain only, which is usually fashioned to resemble two castles in a mirror-image with a body of water between them.
A single rule exists for the purposes of gameplay:

• Players must not invade the opponent's fort for any reason.

Variations

Do-it-yourself Fort

A DIY Fort is any Fort scheme in which girders play a primary role - players are required to build their own defences on a minimalist map, usually consisting of only a small platform for each side. Weapons are disabled to begin with while players build their stronghold. The map is designed with tall towers between the two sides to prevent direct shots, though blasting through the towers is usually permitted.

Extra rules may be introduced:

• When the game begins, players must place their worms on the designated platforms,
• Girders must not be placed on the opponent's side of the map,
• Girders may not be placed in the "no man's land" in the middle of the map (for example, between two specific towers).

Supersheep Fort / Sheep Wars

Conventional weapons are disabled - the only available weapon is the supersheep which must be flown through an indestructible maze to reach the enemy worms. Health crates introduce an extra theme, allowing players to regenerate lost health by collecting them with their supersheep.
